Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَنُثْنِي عَلَيْكَ الْخَيْرَ كُلَّهُ نَشْكُرُكَ وَلَا نَكْفُرُكَ وَنَخْلَعُ وَنَتْرُكُ مَنْ يَفْجُرُكَ اللَّهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَلَكَ نُصَلِّي وَنَسْجُدُ وَإِلَيْكَ نَسْعَى وَنَحْفِدُ وَنَرْجُو رَحْمَتَكَ وَنَخْشَى عَذَابَكَ إِنَّ عَذَابَكَ بِالْكُفَّارِ مُلْحَقٌ
Transliteration: Allahumma innā nasta’īnuka wa nastaghfiruka wa nu’minu bika wa natawakkalu ‘alayka wa nuthni ‘alayka al-khayra kullahu nashkuruka wa la nakfuruka wa nakhla’u wa nataruku man yafjuruka Allahumma iyyāka na’budu wa lak nasallī wa nasjudu wa ilayka nas’ā wa nahfidu wa narjū raḥmataka wa nakhshā ‘adhābaka inna ‘adhābaka bi’l-kuffāri mulhaq
Translation: “O Allah, we seek Your help, ask for Your forgiveness, believe in You, trust in You, and praise You for all the good deeds. We are always grateful to you and believe in You. We abandon those who disobey You. O Allah, we worship You only and pray to You only. We hope for Your mercy and fear Your punishment; undoubtedly, Your punishment will reach the disbelievers.”
Method to Perform Dua e Qunoot:
Dua e Qunoot is recited in the last Rak’ah of the Witr prayer (offered after Isha). Here’s the correct method to perform it:
- Perform Two Rak’ahs of Witr as Usual
- Start the Third Rak’ah After standing up for the third Rak’ah, recite Any Surah (e.g., Surah Ikhlas, Surah Falaq, or Surah Nas)
- Say the Takbeer for Dua e Qunoot. After reciting a Surah, raise both hands and say, “Allahu Akbar. Then, recite Dua e Qunoot.
- After reciting Dua e Qunoot, go into Ruku (bowing).
- Complete the dua as usual with Sujood and Tashahud.
- End with Salam to both sides.
